14 ways to get rid of mosquito bites + no buy July

Weekend Wisdom: You don’t have to explain yourself.

I wrote this last year and I feel exactly the same way today. When I look back on the summer of 2025, I want to remember my first bite of a tomato sandwich, the summer romance novel I was reading, the outdoor concert with my family and the early morning walks and coffee in the backyard. I want the calm moments to rise and the chaotic moments to fade. This doesn’t mean avoiding the tough stuff, in fact it’s how we build strength for it. The only way I can prioritize the small moments is not to get lost in the chaos, the annoyances, my complaints and overwhelm. And the only way I don’t get lost is by noticing how delicious those Black Beauty tomatoes taste with a little salt and olive oil, or laughing out loud when I’m reading. I just have to keep coming back to the moments I want to write themselves all over my heart.

Ok … onto the favorites
