Weekend Wisdom: If you actually want to live with less stress and more peace and ease, it’s time to embrace the idea of letting go, slowing down and living with less.
I’d rather read a book, chat with a friend, go for a walk or work on my biz instead of scrolling social media. I’ve been pulling back for many months and as a result, see some pretty big shifts for my life and work moving forward. My friend Heidi recently shared something that had me in total agreement. She wrote, “One of my latest deal-with-reality moments is acknowledging I’m wasting way too much time in the bottomless depth of Instagram and its algorithm. Eat more protein! Save this dog! Anti-aging tips! Cute donkeys! Improve your golf swing! Hey, I’m the first to admit I’ve learned some great tips through social media and value it for that. But I do realize that what on the surface is masked as self-improvement or entertainment can become a big time-waster. So that’s it. I’m taking my time back. It’s time to be present and live my life instead of endlessly half-absorbing how to improve it through IG reels.” Can you relate?
